Sydney Community College is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We exist to provide affordable, high-quality learning opportunities to people across Sydney—regardless of background, culture, or circumstance. We believe education is a right, not a privilege.
By making a tax-deductible donation before June 30, you help us continue to deliver inclusive, life-changing learning experiences for those who need them most. Every dollar goes directly to creating opportunities—whether it’s digital skills for seniors, language courses for new migrants, or vocational training for those re-entering the workforce.
With over 1200 creative short continuing education classes and multiple study options, you’ll find the right short course to gain knowledge, develop your skills, or learn new skills face to face and online. You don't need to travel far to learn something new, whatever your subject of interest is, we have something for you.
Providing practical learning experiences to the Sydney community since 1986, we offer a wide range of on-campus and online continuing education courses. With over 1,200 classes running each year, there’s something for everyone, from visual arts to personal & career development, language, home, garden & cooking, and sport & fitness.
Our main campus is in Rozelle, NSW, less than 10 minutes away from Sydney CBD. Our rooms include a visual art space, professional training space, and on-site parking.
Please note: Sydney Community College is not a university and is not a registered CRICOS provider in NSW for international students.
Our in-person short courses offer hands-on learning experiences in visual arts, handcrafts, music, and photography, focusing on improving students’ creativity and skills development.
We also offer fitness and wellbeing classes to improve mental and physical health.
We schedule our courses in classrooms or studios suitable to the study subject; the length of each class varies from 3 hours up to 18 hours. No prior qualifications or assessments are required to enrol with us.
Our online courses focus on professional development, personal career development and personal investments, including learning a new language, starting a small business, and developing marketing skills.
We also offer introductory level courses to the world of investment in financial assets such as the stock market.
These courses are delivered live online via Zoom. Students will benefit from live interaction with a professional tutor and each other. No prior qualifications or assessments are required to enrol with us.
Sydney Community College serves the community by offering quality and affordable educational programs.
