What you'll learn
Take your Japanese to the next level and communicate with greater confidence with our Japanese language short courses online!
You've made a great start with the basics. Now it's time to consolidate what you know and take the next step from mid beginners to intermediate level communication.
Whether you're planning a trip to Japan, want to chat with Japanese-speaking friends, or simply love learning the language, this course will help you move beyond basic survival set phrases and help you start putting your own sentences together.
You'll revise and strengthen the foundations from your beginner courses, expand your everyday vocabulary, and learn new grammar that lets you talk about the past, describe people and places, and explain what you want to do. As your confidence grows, you'll find it easier to follow simple conversations and respond in your own words.
Classes are practical, interactive and conversation-focused, giving you plenty of opportunities to practise speaking, listening and reading in a relaxed and supportive environment. Along the way, you'll continue exploring Japanese culture and etiquette, helping you communicate politely and appropriately in everyday situations.
By the end of the course, you'll feel more comfortable handling everyday interactions in Japanese and ready to progress to our Japanese: Intermediate course.
