By the end of this Foundation & Concealing Masterclass, you will have explored concepts and techniques such as:
- Understanding what primers do and how they prepare the skin for foundation
- Identifying which types of foundation best suit different skin types, tones, and ages (liquid, stick, and powder formulations)
- Understanding which concealers and colour correctors work best for common skin concerns
- Learning techniques for applying primer, concealer, and foundation to create a smooth base
- Developing confidence when choosing foundation, concealer, and primer products suited to your skin
Course content
What will be covered in this Foundation & Concealing Masterclass?
- During the workshop, participants will work with techniques and ideas such as:
- Basic steps for maintaining good makeup hygiene
- Understanding primers and how they prepare the skin
- Using concealers and colour correctors for concerns such as pigmentation, rosacea, dark circles, and acne
- Selecting the right foundation shade and product for your skin
- Using setting powders to improve the longevity of your makeup
- Tips for selecting makeup products when shopping in retail stores

Course materials
What to bring to class
- Headband
- Your makeup bag and brushes ( if preferred, your tutor can supply brushes and makeup. However please bring these basics along – mascara, eye makeup remover, and moisturiser)
- Magnified mirror if required (small general focus mirrors will be provided)
- Notepad and pen, or tablet for taking notes
Additional information
Please note the following:
- If you would like to use false lashes during the class, these can be purchased directly from your tutor for a minimal cost.
- If you don’t have some of these products, our teacher Kerry can also advise what best suits your skin type/age/the look you feel comfortable wearing.
