What you'll learn
Learn practical mathematics with our business & career development short courses online!
Build confidence with numbers and develop a better understanding of how mathematics works. Whether you're managing a household budget, calculating interest, interpreting statistics, preparing for further study or simply wanting to sharpen your problem-solving skills, this supportive course will help you approach maths with greater confidence.
Designed for adults of all backgrounds, the course revisits essential mathematical concepts that many of us first encountered at school but may not have used for years—or perhaps never fully understood. Rather than simply memorising formulas and procedures, you'll explore the ideas behind the maths, what mathematical symbols and formulas mean, how different concepts connect, and when particular approaches are useful.
Through clear explanations, guided practice and opportunities to ask questions, you'll work through concepts at a pace that supports understanding. You'll also receive comprehensive course notes, worked examples and additional exercises to help reinforce your learning and provide opportunities for further practice outside class.

Priscilla said: Greg our tutor was patient and understanding as he guided us through the course. Handouts were easy to grasp and well written. The lessons have given me a boost to go on and further my knowledge. I would recommend the course to anyone who feels Maths has left them behind. I have learnt and understood more maths in 6 x 2hr sessions than in most of my high school lessons.
