Access and Equity Policy

Sydney Community College follows policies and procedures that seek to create a training and education environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment, and which enable all students to understand the education program in which they are enrolled or wish to enrol in to reach their full potential.

Commitment to Equity and Inclusion

Sydney Community College is committed to providing a learning and working environment that is respectful, inclusive and free from discrimination, harassment and bullying. Our policies and procedures aim to promote fair and equal access for all students, staff, contractors and volunteers, regardless of characteristics such as sex or gender identity, sexuality, race, nationality, ethnic background, age, marital status, religion, pregnancy, political convictions, physical or intellectual disability or impairment.

The College does not tolerate any form of racism, religious discrimination, antisemitism, Islamophobia, vilification, harassment or bullying in any form. All members of our community are expected to treat others with dignity and respect at all times.

In disability service provision, Sydney Community College has quality standards consistent with the Disability Standards for Education 2005, which are aligned with the National Standards for Disability Services and the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
