Please note: From 7 June 2024, any enrolment purchased at a discounted price cannot be refunded. Discounted enrolments may be transferred, but will be subject to a transfer fee.
Class cancellation or postponement
If Sydney Community College cancels or postpones a class for any reason, students are entitled to either a transfer to the next scheduled class dates or a full refund of their course fees.
Enrolment withdrawal
If a student chooses to withdraw their enrolment in a class, the following policy applies:
- If a student withdraws more than 5 full business days prior to the start of the class, that student may choose to transfer to the next scheduled class or receive a refund.
- If the student chooses to transfer to the next scheduled class, they must pay a transfer administration fee of $25.
- If the student chooses to receive a refund, that student may be levied a refund administration fee of $50.
- If a student withdraws less than 5 full business days prior to the start of the class, that student may transfer to the next scheduled class dates but will be charged a $25 transfer of enrolment fee. No refunds can be applied.
- If a student withdraws after the class begins, that student is not entitled to any transfer or refund.
- If a student withdraws from a course after materials have been purchased, that student will be charged for the cost of the materials. Please note that material costs may vary depending on the course.
- If a student has enrolled in a class that has been discounted and that student is the recipient of that discount, no refunds are applicable.
Enrolment transfer
- In cases where a student is unable to attend a class due to short-term illness or injury, they may transfer to the equivalent sessions on the next scheduled dates for this course, provided the course is not full.
- Students will be charged a $25 transfer of enrolment fee to make this change, and students must provide evidence of their illness or injury to be eligible for this transfer.

- Transfer requests will not be accepted for any other reasons.
This policy is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the College. The policy applicable at the date of enrolment will take precedence.
