Judith Macrae

Judith Macrae

Judith Macrae is a visual artist, textile maker, and experienced arts facilitator with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting) from the National Art School in Sydney. Her contemporary art practice explores textile sculpture, soft toys, hand stitching, and coiled vessels, with a strong focus on texture, colour, sustainability, and tactile making.

Deeply inspired by slow craft practices and the expressive possibilities of fibre and recycled materials, Judith brings both artistic knowledge and a thoughtful, hands-on approach to her teaching. She is passionate about helping students discover the calming and rewarding nature of working creatively with their hands while developing confidence in their own artistic voice.

Judith’s classes are known for their warm, supportive atmosphere and relaxed pace. She encourages experimentation, creativity, and mindful making, guiding students step-by-step while allowing space for individual expression and personal interpretation.
