Shannon Curtis
Shannon Curtis is an award-winning author of contemporary romance, suspense, thriller and paranormal fiction. Besides working as a tutor at SCC, Shannon also writes novels for the Australian, U.S. and UK markets, and was commissioned to write romance novels for The Bold & The Beautiful TV series and a novel connected with a Lifetime Movie Network TV series. She was also the first Australian author to write for Harlequin USA’s Nocturne line, and is published in both category and single titles series. She was a founding member of the first romance publishing cooperative in Australia, and has been involved in teaching and supporting writers for several years.

Achievements
Winner: Romantic Book of the Year Award (Romantic Suspense) 2020 for her novel, Easy Target. Winner: ARR Award for Favourite Romantic Suspense 2017 for her novel, Heart Breaker. Winner: PRISM Award for Light Paranormal 2017 for her novel, Warrior Untamed.

Teaching Style:
Shannon loves writing, and wants her students to also love the craft, so has constructed classes to engage and inspire aspiring writers with a mix of presentations, discussions and activities. Known for creating a fun and supportive environment for writers to discuss, learn and troubleshoot their work, Shannon says her main goal is to help support other writers realise their dream for their own writing journey.
