David Cullen
David Cullen is a Sydney-based architect and founder of Ace of Space Architects, with extensive experience designing and delivering residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and large-scale urban projects.
After graduating from the Oxford School of Architecture and completing further studies in Energy Efficient Design, David has built a diverse portfolio ranging from bespoke homes and small-scale residential projects through to major commercial developments. His broad industry experience gives him a practical understanding of the entire building process — from early feasibility studies and design concepts through to planning approvals, construction, and project delivery.
Passionate about helping people create spaces that are functional, sustainable, and inspiring, David enjoys sharing his knowledge with homeowners, aspiring designers, and anyone interested in understanding how great buildings come together. His teaching combines professional expertise with clear, practical advice, helping students confidently navigate the often complex world of architecture, renovations, and construction.
Whether discussing home renovations, tiny houses, planning approvals, or sustainable design, David's goal is to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions and turn their ideas into reality.
