David Crisante

Dave Crisante is a communications trainer, public speaking coach and award-winning comedian who has been teaching at Sydney Community College since 2023.

Dave is the founder of Sydney Comedy School, Future Science Talks and The Speaking Lab. As a regular performer at major comedy festivals around Australia, he has won several awards for shows that bring together his background in journalism and diplomacy with comedy. Since 2022, he has also run regular comedy rooms across Sydney and performs several hundred times each year.

His teaching draws on a diverse professional background that includes working as a journalist with the ABC and SBS, as a political speechwriter, and in senior communications roles across the research, health, environment and government sectors.

Dave regularly delivers workshops for organisations including Canva, Microsoft, Adobe, LinkedIn, CSIRO, Atlassian and IKEA, as well as universities, research institutes and government organisations. He works with participants ranging from emerging professionals to executives, researchers and technical experts, helping them develop practical skills to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively.
