Chi Lik Cheung
Chi Lik Cheung (Franz) is a noteworthy figure in Chinese Art History, specializing in Chinese calligraphy and painting. Franz was a Chinese Art History lecturer at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia for many years. In addition to his academic role, Cheung is actively engaged in various artistic endeavours and has a broad range of creative interests.
Cheung's artistic accomplishments have been recognized through various projects and collaborations. He co-authored the 2005 Australian landscape photo album "Tranquil Waters" with Ian Carlson, contributing his calligraphy work to the publication. Additionally, he was featured in the short film "4 Immeasurable," produced by filmmaker Keith Johnson in 2009, further showcasing his artistic talent.
Born in Hong Kong, Cheung now resides in Sydney, where he continues to pursue his artistic endeavours and share his knowledge and passion for Chinese art. He obtained a Master of Studio Art from the Sydney College of Art, a part of the University of Sydney (USYD). This educational background further strengthens his expertise in the field and informs his teaching and artistic practices.
