About Grace Huo
Grace Huo is an emerging educator and philosopher whose work sits at the intersection of ethics, society and education. With a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Philosophy and Sociology, First Class Honours in Philosophy, and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) specialising in Human Society and Its Environment, she brings both intellectual depth and practical classroom experience to her teaching. Her academic background is complemented by active involvement in the Ethics Olympiad as a judge and moderator, where she evaluates complex arguments and guides students in rigorous, respectful debate about real-world ethical issues. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, she is well placed to work with diverse learners and foster inclusive, globally aware discussions.
Alongside formal training, Grace has a strong record of mentoring, tutoring and creative work that reflects a genuine commitment to student growth and communication. Her teaching practicums in NSW secondary schools across Years 7–12, volunteer mentoring of students with intellectual disabilities, and earlier experience tutoring a wide range of subjects demonstrate adaptability, patience and a student-centred approach. With professional credentials including NESA provisional accreditation, a current Working with Children Check, and NAATI community language certification, she combines professionalism with creativity and critical thinking.
