What you'll learn
Learn the foundations of wheel throwing with our pottery courses in Sydney!
Come and join this 8-week course! Each session will be 2 hours in length and will start with a demonstration by your pottery tutor and then each student will be given time to practice with guidance and support. This course provides a foundation and introduction to each step of making pottery on the wheel.
Your tutor will demonstrate throwing, trimming and glazing, skills that you will be able to implement with your items made on the pottery wheel: such as basic cylinders (cups), bowls, small plates, and lidded jars. You will also learn how to decorate your tableware with images, patterns and colours. Everyone will be able to finish up to 10 pieces to take home.
You'll get detailed demonstrations and lots of feedback wherever you need it; you will thoroughly enjoy the smaller class sizes as they allow the teacher to give each student more individualised attention as required throughout the course.
