What you'll learn
Expand on your Wheel Throwing techniques in our new Wheel Throwing pottery course for intermediates in Sydney!
This intermediate pottery course is best suited to students who can already throw an even, symmetrical cylinder about the size of a cup. If you’re not quite there yet, no problem! We recommend starting with our Pottery & Ceramics: Wheel Throwing Course for Beginners and spending some time building your foundational skills before joining this masterclass.
Over four weeks, you’ll watch demonstrations and have time to practise a range of techniques to build your confidence and expand your throwing skills. These include spiral wedging, centring larger amounts of clay on the wheel, throwing a taller cylinder, shaping a sphere-shaped vase, throwing a plate, throwing off the hump, and creating a double-walled vessel.
The course fee includes all materials. Please note that trimming and glazing are not part of this course and need to be booked separately in a returning student class. It is assumed that students enrolling in this masterclass are already familiar with these techniques.
